About the role

Data Centre Strategic Account Manager – UK SecurityIn line with the EMEA data centre strategy, you will develop and grow relationships with consulting engineers, design-build contractors, hyperscalers, and colocation operators to drive opportunities across the region. Leveraging Johnson Controls’ broad portfolio of building technologies and solutions, you will increase account penetration, influence specifications, and position JCI as the preferred partner.A proactive sales hunter, you will build trusted customer relationships, identify new opportunities, and drive sustainable growth. You will work closely with a regional data centre team and local teams across Europe to maximize pipeline, order intake, and customer satisfaction while achieving sales targets.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, hyperscalers, and colocation operators.Create and execute account plans to grow market share and pipeline within assigned accounts.Conduct customer presentations and position yourself as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert.Collaborate with sales, operations, and regional teams to support project pursuits and successful delivery.Utilize Salesforce, Altify, and other sales tools to manage pipeline, account plans, and customer engagement.Provide market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive insights to management.Support pre-bid, bid, and post-bid activities and maintain regular customer engagement through business reviews and innovation sessions.Drive adoption of JCI’s full portfolio of building solutions, including building automation, energy management, fire and life safety, security, digital services, and smart building technologies.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.Proven success in technical or solutions-based sales within a B2B environment, with a strong track record of achieving targets.Consultative selling approach with the ability to influence customer decisions and build long-term relationships.Experience working independently within a matrix organization.Preferred QualificationsExperience selling security systems building technologies, infrastructure, or data centre solutions.Established network among consultants, contractors, hyperscalers, and colocation providers.Strong cross-cultural communication and stakeholder management skills.Familiarity with Salesforce, Altify, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Teams.What we offerCompetitive salary and commission / bonus planPaid holidays and sick payUnbranded Company car & fuel cardComprehensive benefits package including pension, life assurance, employee assistance program, employee referral scheme, employee discounts including high street brands, cycle 2 work scheme and discount on Johnson Controls security productsExtensive product and on the job/cross training opportunities with outstanding resources availableEncouraging and collaborative team environmentCareer development through various career ladders including Customer ServiceDedication to safety through our Zero Harm policyAccess to business resource groupsTraining on our company valuesCompany vehicle and IT equipment to complete all jobs#LI-MH1#LI-RemoteSummaryLocation: Sunbury-on-Thames-Surrey-United KingdomType: Full time
