About the role
Suji is an exciting fast-growing health tech business operating from Edinburgh across the US markets. The smart compression device and app builds strength, speeds recovery, and reduces joint stiffness at lower exercise intensities. Proven with 40% of American sports teams - backed by the Adidas family office - and now growing rapidly amongst consumers as the category leader in Muscular Health.
The mission is simple - help people play harder through improved muscle health. The Head of Finance for Suji will be an all-encompassing role providing key financial insight for decision-making and strategy choices to cashflow and statutory compliance.
Key responsibilities:
Strategic Partnering
- Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team: evaluate growth opportunities and investments through financial modelling, support pricing and unit economics decisions, contribute to board reporting, and assist with fundraising and due diligence
Growth & Customer Economics
- Own KPIs and SaaS/product metrics, assess marketing ROI and acquisition effectiveness, and provide commercial analysis for product launches and customer engagement
FP&A
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, scenario modelling, and management reporting focused on business performance
Control & Governance
- Oversee all financial, management, and statutory reporting; ensure UK & US tax and accounting compliance; manage audits and adviser relationships; strengthen controls and risk management
Cash & Operations
- Manage cashflow forecasting, liquidity, and working capital; bring financial insight to inventory, supply chain, and cost efficiency
System & Leadership
- Build scalable finance systems, automation, and dashboards; develop a high-performing, commercially minded finance team and embed financial accountability across the business
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Confident in engaging and influencing senior stakeholders, including non-financial colleagues and senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical and leadership skills with a right first-time approach and ability to work autonomously across the finance responsibilities
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
- Strong analytical, judgement, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to be flexible and collaborate to support the success of a small team
