About the role
We’re looking for a
Graduate Design Services Engineer
to join a well-established design team within our Transport Asset Management division, where you will deliver traffic signal design projects for a number of different customers nationally, including Transport for London, Highways England and many local authorities.
The role will see you split your week, spending 2-3 days per week on average travelling to various locations nationwide. You will need to be flexible and have a full UK driving licence.
You’ll play a key part in providing services for monitoring and controlling road usage, providing up-to-date traffic information and above all keeping road users safe.
What you’ll be doing
Undertake feasibility assessments, analysis, preliminary and details design.
Undertake on-site inspections, surveys and commissioning
Preparation of technical designs in-line with approved design procedures
Preparation of technical specifications and documents
Health, safety and environmental awareness - reporting any incidents
Attend meetings with clients and ensure clients are receiving a high level of service
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for a recent Graduate that has studied Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Design Engineering or Maths
(or are due to graduate this year)
Highly motivated individual who demonstrates a professional attitude
Good communication skills are essential, along with a positive approach to meet the demands of the business and customer requirements
Flexible approach to work and be prepared to work away from home on occasions
Ability to react to changing circumstances and work under pressure
Ability to use AutoCAD
Full UK/EU driving licence
