Design Draughtsperson / CAD Technician

An opportunity has arisen for skilled Design Draughtspersons to join a busy engineering environment with an immediate start. Positions are available on both a contract and permanent basis. The successful candidates will support the design and modification of engineering drawings, primarily within sheet metal and fabrication projects. Positions Available * 2 x Contract Roles – 3-month duration (rate dependent on experience) * 1 x Permanent Role – Salary up to £40,000 (depending on experience) Key Responsibilities * Modify existing sheet metal and fabrication drawings to meet customer requirements * Work in accordance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System standards * Collaborate with production engineers, fabricators, assembly operators, and other shop floor personnel * Interpret and work from engineering drawings accurately Required Skills & Experience * Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D (essential) * Experience with 3D AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks (desirable) * Familiarity with Autodesk Vault for data management (beneficial; training can be provided) * Competence in Microsoft Office and Outlook * Strong ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings Typical Projects * Steel security doors and related fabricated products What We’re Looking For * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to work effectively within a team environment * Good communication skills across technical and non-technical teams * A proactive and adaptable approach to work
