They are seeking a Credit Analyst to work with them on a permanent basis. Responsibilities:Review and assess buy-to-let and commercial property credit applications.Ensure proposals comply with bank policies, credit standards and regulations.Raise and resolve credit queries with Relationship Managers within agreed timelines.Identify credit/process gaps and ensure complete documentation.Monitor existing loan portfolios and review portfolio performance.Prepare credit, committee and annual review reports.Maintain accurate credit records and electronic files.Liaise with Credit Administration, Finance, Compliance and Audit.Keep up to date with bank processes, systems and regulatory changes.Support ad-hoc credit projects as required.The successful candidate:3+ years’ commercial risk management experience, including credit decision-making and sanctioning.Experience in Relationship Management is preferred.Strong academic and professional qualifications.Good knowledge of the UK economy, BTL and commercial real estate markets.Understanding of SME lending, Trade Finance and credit risk.Strong financial analysis skills, including financial statements, projections and business models.Knowledge of credit risks, mitigants and lending structures.Understanding of BASEL, PRA and FCA requirements and policy compliance.Strong Excel, spreadsheet and database skills.Knowledge of SME/emerging markets and industry trends is desirable.Corporate workout/restructuring experience is an advantage.
