Internal Technical Sales Engineer Location: Acton, West London (Office-Based) Salary: £45,000 + Annual Bonus + Excellent Benefits Sector: Engineering, Manufacturing & Distribution The Opportunity Want to join a market-leading engineering manufacturer experiencing year-on-year record growth? Our client designs and manufactures high-performance protective electronic and electromechanical devices, specialising in gas and heat detection for hazardous industrial environments globally. As an Internal Technical Sales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in a small, high-performing team - translating technical customer requirements into commercial success. What You’ll Be Doing This is a dynamic, consultative role acting as the critical link between customers, external sales teams, and production. Your day-to-day will involve: * Consultative Selling: Proactively responding to incoming phone, email, and web enquiries from global B2B clients. * Application Support: Conducting technical discovery via phone and MS Teams to understand customer applications and recommend the ideal product solutions. * Commercial Execution: Generating accurate product quotes, providing pricing and manufacturing lead times, and managing the sales pipeline. * Pipeline Management: Following up on open quotations to maximise conversion rates and drive revenue. * Team Collaboration: Working closely with external Sales Engineers to support key accounts and international distribution channels. About You We are looking for a commercially minded Internal Technical Sales Engineer with a genuine passion for technology or engineering. Ideally, you bring: * Technical Aptitude: A background, qualification, or strong personal interest in engineering (electrical, electronic, or electromechanical) or industrial technology. * B2B Sales Experience: Proven experience in an internal sales or customer-facing technical support role. * Solution-Driven Mindset: The ability to move past "order taking" and engage in creative, consultative solution selling. * Global Outlook: Experience dealing with international sales channels or industrial distribution is a major advantage. * Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build rapport and explain technical concepts clearly. Note: While technical curiosity is required, full and comprehensive product training will be provided.
