About usStudent and Registry Services is one of the larger Professional Services divisions at UCL, providing essential services to UCL’s 50,000 students, 160,000 applicants and for supporting academic departments and administrative staff in delivering a high-quality student experience.The Access and Widening Participation Office leads on the development and implementation of UCL’s strategies to widen access to UCL from underrepresented groups.The Data and Impact team is responsible for assessing the impact of APP activity through research, evaluation, identifying trends, and the preparation of data for internal and external reporting. The team also coordinates and manages the office’s annual 4m+ budget.About the roleThe Data and Research Analyst role is a new position within the Data and Impact team and will strengthen analytical capacity across the student lifecycle. The postholder will work with data spanning access, continuation, progression and outcomes, delivering insight to support evidence-based decision-making, institutional priorities and regulatory requirements.The role involves working across multiple datasets, producing analysis and dashboards, and communicating findings to a range of audiences. The postholder will collaborate closely with colleagues across Access, Student Funding, Student Success, Registry and other central teams, contributing to research and evaluation activity and helping to build a coherent evidence base to assess impact and identify gaps in equality of opportunity.If you have any queries about the role, please contact Vij Zorba at: v.zorba@ucl.ac.ukAbout you The postholder will bring experience of working with complex datasets and delivering high-quality quantitative and qualitative analysis. Strong technical skills in data analysis and visualisation tools are essential, alongside the ability to communicate insights clearly to a range of stakeholders.This role requires a collaborative and organised individual who can manage competing priorities, work independently, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
