Senior Electronics Systems Engineer – Contract Opportunity (Radar Systems)

I’m currently supporting an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electronics Systems Engineer to join a cutting-edge project within advanced radar systems engineering.

This role sits at a Senior technical level, working closely with the System Design Authority and playing a key role across the full engineering lifecycle — from requirements definition through to integration, testing, and final sign-off.


What you’ll be doing:

• Leading on digital electronics and FPGA-based system design

• Working with high-speed interfaces (e.g. JESD204, FPDP)

• Contributing to system architecture, integration & verification

• Collaborating across multidisciplinary teams (RF, software, mechanical, digital)

• Supporting key technical decisions including COTS vs bespoke solutions

• Gaining exposure to advanced technologies including AESA radar systems


What we’re looking for:

• Strong background in electronics engineering, with systems-level experience

• Hands-on experience with Xilinx/AMD tools (Vivado, Vitis)

• Experience with devices such as Versal or Zynq UltraScale+


Nice to have:

• Radar systems knowledge or signal/data analysis xwzovoh (MATLAB)

• Experience in integration, verification, or high-integrity environments (e.g. defence)


Contract details:

• Initial 6-month contract

£80+ per hour (DOE)

• One-stage telephone interview

• Predominantly onsite on the Isle of Wight
