Design Manager – Fit-Out & Refurbishment Location: Birmingham Airport (Hybrid Working Available) Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 + Package About the Company We are working on behalf of a National Tier 1 Main Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Design Manager to join their team on a major programme of works at Birmingham Airport. The Role The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a range of internal/interior fit-out, refurbishment, and reconfiguration projects, with values ranging from £50k to £25m. This is a site-based role with hybrid flexibility, working as part of a collaborative project team and supported by Design Coordinators. Key Responsibilities * Manage and coordinate the design process across multiple projects * Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure design delivery aligns with programme and budget * Review and manage design information, ensuring compliance with project requirements * Support the delivery of fit-out, refurbishment, and reconfiguration works within live environments * Mentor and oversee Design Coordinators within the team Requirements * Proven experience as a Design Manager within a main contractor or subcontractor environment * Strong background in fit-out, refurbishment, and internal configuration projects * Ability to manage multiple projects and hit the ground running * Excellent communication and coordination skills * Experience working in aviation or airport environments is a bonus, but not essential What’s on Offer * Competitive salary of £60,000 – £70,000 + package * Hybrid working arrangements * Opportunity to work on a high-profile airport project * Immediate start available for the right candidate Apply Now This is an urgent requirement, and interviews are being arranged immediately.
