As one of the world’s largest construction and development companies, we work together with customers, communities and partners to shape a better society.You will be working in the HS2 Main Works, the SCS Joint Venture with Costain and Strabag, our HS2 Main Works South team is delivering one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects – 26 miles of tunnels from London Euston to West Ruislip, along with viaducts, bridges and embankments that will connect communities for generations.We are currently looking for a Senior Planning Engineer who will:As the Senior Planning Engineer, you will:Assist the Planning Manager in development of the programme structure, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), calendars and dates to be used by SCS, aligned with the Cost Break Down Structure (CBS) and Employer`s data dictionaryHelp to develop cost and resource loaded programmes during ECI Stage One and Two with submission in accordance with the required delivery milestonesEnsuring the programme meets all required access dates, milestones and key dates in compliance with the Employer’s Planning requirements, contract data and works informationContribute to assessment of programme risks and programme risk analysis, including development and implementation of mitigation measuresInterfacing with and provide planning data for other functional teams and stakeholders including, but not limited to: BIM team, design team, estimation and construction and constructionWorking with the BIM team to integrate the construction programme and BIM modelProgress monitoring and regular updating of the programme, including forecasting of potential problem areas and proposing mitigation measures to the Project ManagerWe are looking for:Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or an appropriate professional qualificationPrior experience in planning function in civil engineering projectsKnowledge of the development and implementation of asset structures, planning standards, WBS and planning processesCompetence in Primavera P6 and TilosKnowledge of Safety, Environment and Risk ManagementStrong communication skillsWhat we offer:24/7 digital GP service for you and your family Financial wellbeing and employee assistance Professional development Enhanced family benefits (including maternity, paternity, dependants and parental bereavement leave) Inclusion and Diversity We thrive through embracing differences as we know that diversity opens a rich potential for new ways of thinking, helping us to build successful and high-performing teams.
