Are you an experienced in vivo pharmacologist with expertise in kidney disease looking to play a leading role in preclinical drug discovery?
We're supporting an innovative organisation seeking an Associate Principal Scientist to join their In Vivo Pharmacology team. This is an exciting opportunity for a scientist with a strong background in renal disease research and in vivo pharmacology to lead the development of novel therapeutics from early discovery through preclinical development.
You'll take ownership of scientifically challenging programmes, designing and leading in vivo studies that generate high-quality data to drive decision-making and progress new therapies towards the clinic.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, execution, and interpretation of complex in vivo kidney disease studies.
- Provide scientific leadership across preclinical drug discovery programmes focused on renal biology.
- Develop and optimise translational in vivo models of kidney disease to support target validation and efficacy testing.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to shape programme strategy and deliver project milestones.
- Mentor junior scientists and provide technical expertise across the in vivo pharmacology group.
We're looking for someone with:
- Extensive hands-on experience in kidney disease research, including in vivo models of renal disease.
- Proven expertise designing, executing, and interpreting in vivo pharmacology studies within a drug discovery environment.
- Strong understanding of renal biology and translational approaches to preclinical drug development.
- Experience leading scientific projects and influencing experimental strategy.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams. xwzovoh
