Senior Planner Water

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to join a respected planning team focused on delivering water infrastructure projects. The role involves developing, managing, and maintaining detailed, compliant project programmes from tender stage through to project completion. You will lead collaborative planning workshops, engage with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure programmes align with contract requirements and client expectations. The Senior Planner will monitor progress, identify risks and opportunities, and provide clear communication of programme performance to stakeholders. Mentoring junior planners and supporting continuous improvement of planning processes will also be key responsibilities. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Skills Extensive experience in water industry project planning Advanced Primavera P6 expertise Strong knowledge of contract requirements and tender documentation interpretation Ability to develop and maintain compliant, realistic project programmes Experience leading collaborative planning workshops and multi-disciplinary engagement Critical path analysis and earned value management Risk identification, mitigation, and opportunity management within programmes Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Mentoring and leadership of junior planners Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills Primavera P6 Microsoft Project Certifications & Standards Knowledge of NEC and other relevant contract forms advantageous Understanding of programme compliance with planning procedures and guidance Technical degree or relevant experience in a related field preferred
