Small Works Manager – NHS Scotland Account

Peace Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a leading construction and property business to recruit an experienced Small Works Manager for projects across the NHS Scotland account in Aberdeen.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team delivering a wide range of refurbishment, maintenance and small works projects within live healthcare environments. The role offers long-term stability, a strong project pipeline and the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that directly impact local communities.
The Role
As Small Works Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple projects from planning through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
You’ll be managing labour, subcontractors and site operations while maintaining excellent client relationships and ensuring compliance across all areas of the project.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and organise all labour on site, including subcontractors
* Allocate work for both direct and indirect labour
* Ensure all resources are utilised efficiently
* Maintain high standards of health & safety on site
* Ensure Quality Control procedures are adhered to at all times
* Keep site records, registers and electronic filing systems fully updated
* Check and authorise timesheets for direct labour
* Ensure sites remain safe, tidy and professional environments
* Manage and reduce waste across projects
* Protect members of the public during works
* Ensure CCS standards are consistently met
* Maintain strong communication with clients, stakeholders and project teams
What We’re Looking For
* Construction or Civil Engineering related degree
* Previous management experience within the construction industry
* Valid CSCS card
* SMSTS qualification
* Strong knowledge of Health & Safety practices
* First Aid knowledge
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities within live environments
Desirable
* Membership of CIOB, ICE or CEng
