Hourly Rate: £69.58 per hour Inside IR35 via umbrella (40 hours per week)
Location: Epsom, London, Peterborough, Cambridge (hybrid 3 days per week)
Term: 6 months

We are looking for an energetic and experienced Associate or Associate Director Electrical Engineer to join their team within the Design & Advanced Technology (D&AT) Practice. You'll be part of a talented, multi-disciplinary team delivering cutting edge, iconic projects to our Water market clients.
As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in delivering transformational programmes for critical UK infrastructure, with opportunities to work on landmark engineering projects both domestically and internationally.
We offer hybrid working which involves 3 days per week being office/site based.
Your Role

As an Associate Director Electrical Engineer in the D&AT practice, the successful candidate would have the following responsibilities:
Lead a team of Electrical & ICA engineers for delivery of technical design work on complex multi-disciplinary projects following relevant client and project specific design codes and standards, and to high-quality levels.
Responsible for directing and reviewing technical deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, Cable Block Diagrams, Load Schedules, MCC specifications, Control Philosophies, Control Network Architecture.
Provide technical leadership into project design deliverables for Electrical aspects of complex multi-disciplinary projects and work with the project management team to successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
Collaborate with client, operational, project, or service activities within your immediate team
Provide direction and guidance to Senior and Principal colleagues
Work independently with minimal technical guidance. Exercise personal judgement to solve difficult problems where appropriate and provide guidance to Senior and Principal team members.
Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
Setting quality assurance standards in design and ensure compliance from Electrical & ICA teams.
Leading business development initiatives to drive growth of water market for our client
Support leadership and management of the D&AT team within the Manchester office.
About You
The ideal candidate would be a well-rounded and versatile individual who exemplifies the following key skills and attributes:
A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Chartered Engineer.
Experience in water treatment indsutry is essential for this position
Proven experience in leading or directing an Electrical & ICA engineering design delivery team for a design consultancy including within a multi-disciplinary environment.
Takes broad perspective to identify innovative solutions to design problems.
Requires comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in Electrical designs.
Extensive knowledge of water company design codes and standards as well as industry best practices, such as WIMES.
Strong awareness of HAZOP assessments, lightning strike risk assessments, earthing and bonding, lighting designs, DSEAR and ATEX installation practices.
Ability to work independently with minimal technical guidance.
Experience in industrial and process environment is essential.
Demonstrates strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly and effectively within diverse multi-disciplinary teams.
