We are currently recruiting Manufacturing Operatives to join a successful and well-established manufacturing business in Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a long-term career within a modern production environment, with full training provided, clear progression opportunities, and an increase in pay upon successful completion of probation.
Working within a busy and supportive team, you will play a key role in the manufacture and quality assurance of high-quality plastic components used across a range of industries.
Key Responsibilities
Operate injection moulding machinery and associated production equipment safely and efficiently.
Monitor production processes to ensure output meets required quality and performance standards.
Carry out visual inspections and quality checks on finished products.
Trim, assemble, package, and prepare products for dispatch.
Identify and report faults, defects, or production issues to supervisors.
Complete production records and documentation accurately.
Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards across the production area.
Follow health, safety, and company procedures at all times.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and team leaders to achieve daily production targets.
Assist with machine changeovers and basic equipment checks where required.
Handle materials and stock safely in line with company procedures.
Shift Pattern
This role operates on a rotating three-week shift pattern:
Week 1: Early Shift: 6:00am - 2:15pm
Week 2: Late Shift: 2:00pm - 10:15pm
Week 3: Night Shift: 10:00pm - 6:15am
What We're Looking For
Previous experience within a manufacturing, production, factory, or warehouse environment is advantageous but not essential.
A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and flexible in approach to work.
Willingness to learn new skills and follow established processes.
Ability to work rotating shifts on a full-time basis.
Knowledge of health and safety practices within a production environment would be beneficial.
