School Catering Assistant

Are you a hardworking Kitchen Porter or General Assistant with a valid Enhanced DBS certificate looking for flexible temporary work across Hastings? We are currently looking for staff on a both full time and part time basis across schools in Hastings, with roles available for immediate start.  The Role As a Temporary Kitchen Porter / General Assistant, your responsibilities may include: Assisting kitchen teams with food preparation tasks Washing pots, pans, crockery, and kitchen equipment Maintaining cleanliness throughout kitchen and service areas Assisting with food service and counter service when required Receiving and storing deliveries Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures Supporting catering teams during busy service periodsWhat We're Looking For Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter, Catering Assistant, General Assistant, or within a hospitality environment A valid, in-date Enhanced DBS Certificate (essential) A positive attitude and strong work ethic Reliability, punctuality, and good communication skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Understanding of food hygiene and cleanliness standardsIf you're looking for flexible work and want to support vital catering services within schools, care homes, and healthcare settings, we'd love to hear from you.
