Job Title: Asbestos Bulk Analyst Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex Salary/Benefits: £26k - £34k + Training & Benefits A UKAS accredited Asbestos consultancy is recruiting for a detail-oriented Asbestos Lab Analyst in the South East of England. They are seeking someone with a proven track record of performing bulk analysis of ACMs, in order to identify asbestos fibres. It is essential that you are local to the laboratory, as you will be commuting on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will be able to manage their own workload in order to meet/exceed company targets. Ideally, you will be based around: Southend-on-Sea, Canvey Island, Basildon, Harlow, Epping, Chelmsford, Braintree, Wickford, Bishop’s Stortford, Witham, Maldon, Billericay, South Woodham Ferrers, Hockley, St Albans, South Benfleet, Grays, Tilbury, Enfield, Cheshunt, Hoddesdon, Potters Bar, Watford, Hatfield, Harpenden, Luton, Knebworth, Royston, Hitchin. Experience / Qualifications: * Experience working as an Asbestos Bulk Analyst within a UKAS accredited laboratory * Qualified with the BOHS P401 as a minimum * Robust technical knowledge * Strong organisation skills * Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills * Able to work to set targets and deadlines The Role: * Performing bulk analysis of ACM samples through PLM and stereo-microscopy * Receiving samples into the lab, logging and storing * Data inputting onto the company database * Calibrating equipment and organising any maintenance / servicing * Issuing analysis certificates to clients * Completing AIMS and quality checks * Adhering to strict safety guidelines * Maintaining high service standards Alternative job titles: Asbestos Analyst, Asbestos Bulk Analyst, Asbestos Lab Technician.
