Typical responsibilities for a History Teacher:
Manage classrooms and behaviour
Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons
Assess classwork and homework, providing constructive feedback
Monitor students' progress and set targets for continuous improvement
Encourage critical thinking, historical analysis, and classroom discussions
Inspire students to develop a passion for history and understand its relevance to the modern world
We are looking for a History Teacher who has:
Excellent knowledge of historical events, periods, and concepts
The ability to explain complex historical topics in an engaging and accessible way
A passion for history and education
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong behaviour management skills
The ability to plan engaging and differentiated lessons
Strong organisational and classroom management skills
Job Details:
Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Slough
Setting: Secondary School
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £35,602 - £54,328
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Contract: Full-time
We are looking to appoint a fully qualified teacher (QTS). This is also an ideal opportunity for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking for their first teaching role.
