Working pattern: Monday - Thursday 7.5 hours, Friday 7 hours
Location: Common Ley Campus (Witney)
Contract type: Permanent, full-time (open to part-time applicants)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and industry-experienced Lecturer in Agriculture & Countryside Management to join our thriving land-based faculty. This exciting role will involve teaching and assessing learners across Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Agriculture & Countryside Management programmes, helping students develop the practical skills, technical knowledge and professional behaviours required for successful careers in the agricultural and environmental sectors.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual from either an educational or industry background to share their expertise and inspire the next generation of farmers, countryside managers and rural professionals.
About the Role
- Plan, deliver and assess high-quality learning programmes that engage and motivate learners.
- Teach a range of agricultural and countryside management topics across Levels 1-3.
- Deliver a blend of classroom-based and practical learning activities.
- Support learners to develop industry-relevant skills and knowledge.
- Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to maximise achievement.
- Prepare engaging learning resources and maintain accurate records.
- Promote health and safety, sustainability and environmental best practice.
- Develop positive relationships with employers and external partners to enhance learner experiences.
- Contribute to curriculum development, learner recruitment and enrichment activities.
- Maintain current industry knowledge and integrate emerging agricultural and environmental developments into teaching.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in Agriculture, Countryside Management, Environmental Land Management OR Relevant industry experience within agriculture, land management or the environmental sector.
- Teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one.
- Relevant industry experience within agriculture, land management or the environmental sector.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage learners from a variety of backgrounds.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Passion for supporting learner achievement and progression.
Desirable
- Experience teaching Agriculture or Countryside Management within Further Education.
- Experience delivering City & Guilds, BTEC or other vocational qualifications.
- Knowledge of current agricultural practices, environmental legislation and sustainability initiatives.
- Industry certifications or specialist qualifications.
- Established links with agricultural businesses, farms or countryside organisations.
