Daventry, Northampton ð· Salary: 14.28ð Hours: Monday - Friday, 07:00-19:00ð¼ Contract Type: Full-timeJob OverviewFantastic opportunity to join the Mitie and Marks & Spencer partnership as a Site Security Manager at a Daventry Based Distribution Centre.We are seeking a professional, experienced, and highly motivated leader to oversee the delivery of security operations at a busy and high-profile distribution centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, developing, and supporting the on-site security team while ensuring full compliance with both Mitie and M&S policies, procedures, and service expectations.This role requires an individual with excellent leadership skills, sound judgement, strong integrity, and a collaborative approach to management. The Site Security Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager and key client stakeholders, ensuring that security operations are delivered consistently, professionally, and in line with contractual requirements.The successful candidate must be capable of managing priorities effectively, maintaining positive working relationships, and demonstrating accountability for all aspects of site security performance.Main Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead, motivate, and develop the on-site security team to deliver exceptional service standards.Maintain full operational oversight of site security activities, ensuring all procedures are followed consistently.Act as the primary point of contact for site security operations whilst maintaining regular communication and reporting to the Operations Manager.Ensure all security incidents, concerns, risks, and operational issues are escalated through the appropriate management channels.Build and maintain strong working relationships with client stakeholders and internal Mitie management teams.Manage employee welfare, performance, attendance, development, and conduct in accordance with company procedures.Conduct investigations, audits, inspections, and compliance checks as required.Ensure all access control, CCTV, search, key control, and incident management processes are robustly managed.Produce accurate reports, performance data, and operational updates for senior management.Support recruitment, training, onboarding, and succession planning activities.Ensure all security operations comply with legal, contractual, and company requirements.Drive a positive culture of professionalism, accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.Support business objectives and implement operational directives as instructed by the Operations Manager and site senior management team.Person Specification Previous experience in a Security Manager, Site Manager, Security Supervisor, or equivalent leadership role.
Strong people management and leadership skills with the ability to manage performance effectively. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrable experience working within established policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
Ability to build positive relationships whilst maintaining professional boundaries and accountability. Strong decision-making skills with the ability to recognise when matters require escalation or management approval. High levels of integrity, professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and report writing. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider management structure and follow operational direction.
Valid Front Line SIA Licence.
