This role is responsible for the design, development, maintenance and optimisation of research-focused computing hardware infrastructure, including HPC clusters, GPU acceleration, networking and data storage solutions. The post-holder will work closely with researchers, technical teams and external stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable HPC solutions. This role ensures that researchers at LSE have access to cutting-edge, high-performance computing resources to facilitate computational research and AI applicationsCandidates should have:-       Strong technical expertise in high-performance computing (HPC) and GPU systems. -       Proven experience administering, configuring, and optimising HPC clusters and GPU systems (e.g. Slurm, OpenPBS, K8).-       Hands-on experience with open-source software build and installation frameworks specifically designed for High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments, such as Spack and Easybuild.-       Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Perl, Bash, Ansible) and knowledge of DevOps development best practices.We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working, and excellent training and development opportunities.For further information about the post, please see the how to apply document, job description and the person specification.
