I'm working with an established electronics business who design and build their own products in-house. They're after a Hardware Design Engineer to support new product development someone who can own the electronics design and grow into the go-to expert on their core technologies.


Small, fast-paced engineering team covering R&D, product development and new product introduction. You'd be leading projects, not just contributing to them.


What you'll be doing

  • Designing new products - circuit design, schematic capture and PCB layout
  • Working closely with the wider engineering team to get products into production
  • Leading internal and external project teams, including subcontractors, and dealing with customers where needed
  • Researching new technologies to keep the product roadmap current

What they're after

  • Experience in a similar role, strong across schematic capture, PCB layout, analogue and digital circuit design, microcontrollers and simulation
  • MEng in Electronic Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Someone who can lead and motivate, and juggle several projects at once

  • Confident talking to technical and non-technical people alike
  • Diligent, detail-driven, and genuinely bothered about hitting milestones

Nice to have

  • Altium Designer
  • MATLAB / Simulink / LabVIEW
  • Some software development
  • Project management experience
