Plasterer (Social Housing)

Permanent, Full-Time Benefits: Company Van, Fuel Card, Annual Leave About the Role On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Plasterer to join their social housing maintenance team covering Oldbury and the surrounding areas. This is a permanent position working across void properties and planned maintenance works, carrying out high-quality plastering and associated repairs to ensure properties are restored to a lettable standard. The successful candidate will have experience working within social housing, domestic maintenance, or refurbishment environments and be committed to delivering excellent workmanship. Key Responsibilities * Carry out all aspects of plastering, including skimming, patch plastering, bonding, rendering, and float and set. * Complete repairs to walls and ceilings following maintenance works. * Prepare surfaces prior to plastering, ensuring a high-quality finish. * Undertake damp-related reinstatement works where required. * Carry out minor making-good works following repairs. * Work across void and occupied social housing properties. * Ensure all jobs are completed within agreed timescales and to company standards. * Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment. * Accurately complete job sheets and report any additional repair requirements. Essential Requirements * Proven experience as a Plasterer within social housing, property maintenance, or construction. * Strong skills in all aspects of plastering and repair work. * Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively. * Excellent attention to detail and quality standards. * Good understanding of health and safety regulations. * Strong communication and customer service skills. * Full UK Driving Licence (Essential). Desirable * Experience working within social housing maintenance contracts. * Knowledge of basic tiling, painting, or other trade skills. * Relevant NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent trade qualification. * Experience working within void properties.
