We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Vehicle Security Installer in Chelmsford, Essex. Our client is a reputable automotive business specialising in the installation of high-quality security systems for luxury and prestige vehicles. Benefits of a Vehicle Security Installer: Basic salary up to £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience Permanent, full-time employment Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm Opportunity to work on premium vehicle brands, specialising in high-end security installations Career development opportunities in vehicle security and automotive electrics Supportive and safety-conscious working environmentDuties of a Vehicle Security Installer: Install and configure various vehicle security systems, including alarms, immobilisers, trackers, and related systems Conduct electrical wiring, connections, and necessary modifications for security system installations Diagnose and rectify faults within vehicle electrical and security systems to ensure optimal operation Safely remove and refit vehicle interior trim and panels during installation and maintenance work Ensure wiring and security components are installed neatly, securely, and discreetly Test and verify the functionality of security systems after installation Use diagnostic tools and technical documentation effectively to support fault diagnosis Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and faults diagnosed Follow manufacturer guidelines and adhere to company standards during installation procedures Stay informed of evolving vehicle security technologies and installation methods Keep tools and equipment maintained to the highest standards Deliver high-quality work to minimise future repairs and enhance customer satisfactionRequirements of a Vehicle Security Installer: Proven experience in vehicle security installation, automotive electrics, or relevant technical roles Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems and circuitry Hands-on experience installing aftermarket security devices such as alarms, immobilisers, and trackers Ability to diagnose electrical and security faults with accuracy Practical skills with attention to detail for neat, professional installations Familiarity with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and specialised installation tools Proficiency in removing and refitting vehicle interior trim without damage Knowledge of safe working practices when dealing with vehicle electrical systems Ability to work independently and effectively within a busy team environment Organised with good time management skills to prioritise tasks Full UK driving licence is essential Qualifications in automotive electrical work or vehicle security are desirableIf you are passionate about vehicle security systems and working with premium vehicles in a professional setting, this is an ideal opportunity to advance your career.
