The Opportunity
A specialist education provider is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join its established multidisciplinary therapy team.
This is an excellent opportunity for either a newly qualified therapist looking to develop their SEN experience or a more experienced Occupational Therapist seeking a supportive environment with strong clinical supervision, ongoing CPD and opportunities to work alongside education professionals as part of an integrated therapeutic model.
The successful candidate will support children and young people with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, develop independence and achieve positive outcomes both within school and beyond.
Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of children and young people with a range of SEND needs

Complete assessments and develop individualised intervention plans

Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy interventions
-
Contribute to EHCP reviews, reports and multidisciplinary planning meetings
-
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, families and external professionals
-
Support the development of sensory, functional and independence programmes
-
Provide advice, training and guidance to school staff
-
Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in line with professional standards
-
Contribute to a whole-school therapeutic approach and positive learning environment
About the Learners
You will support pupils presenting with a variety of needs, which may include:

Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

Speech, Language and Communication Needs
-
Sensory processing differences
-
Learning disabilities
-
Physical and motor difficulties
-
ADHD
-
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

Developmental coordination difficulties and other complex presentations
What We're Looking For
-
Degree in Occupational Therapy
-
HCPC registration (or pending registration for newly qualified therapists)
-
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
-
Passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
-
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
-
Commitment to evidence-based practice and continued professional development
Experience within SEN, paediatrics, education or community services would be advantageous but is not essential. xwzovoh
