Teacher of Religious Education (RE) - High Wycombe | September 2026
Quantum Scholars is currently acting as an agency on behalf of a genuinely welcoming and highly regarded secondary school in High Wycombe that is seeking to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Religious Education (RE) on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and inspirational educator to join a successful and well-established department within a supportive school environment. Religious Education is a valued subject across the school and continues to be a popular choice at A-Level.
The school is looking for an outstanding practitioner who is passionate about Religious Education and committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning. The successful candidate will be dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential while fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and respect for diverse beliefs and perspectives.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and inspiring Religious Education lessons across Key Stages 3-5
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners
Assess, monitor, and track student progress, implementing strategies to raise attainment and achievement
Contribute to the ongoing development of the RE curriculum
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and success
Support students' academic, personal, and social development
Contribute to enrichment opportunities and wider school life
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and achievement
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level, including A-Level, is desirable
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Religious Education
Proven ability to deliver engaging lessons and achieve positive student outcomes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A commitment to continuous professional development and educational excellence
Must have the Right to Work in the UK
