They are currently seeking an experienced and commercially minded Underwriter to join our client’s founding team and lead conversations with capacity providers. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-growth MGA at an early stage and have direct influence on their products, processes, and culture, as well as building and leading your own team. Lead the underwriting of complex SME construction risks. Ensure compliance with FCA, Lloyd’s, and other regulatory frameworks. 5+ years’ experience in construction underwriting (contract works, liability, property, or related lines). ~ Strong broker network and proven ability to generate new business. ~ Solid technical underwriting skills, with the ability to assess complex risks and make sound commercial decisions. ~ Ability to balance risk appetite with growth. ~ Compensation and benefits: Competitive Salary + Equity Remote-first setup, with in-person meet-ups every couple of weeks in shared office space.
