Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 DOE

The Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Freight Forwarding Assistant to join a busy and growing logistics operation based in Immingham.

Working closely with the Freight Forwarding Manager, you will support the day-to-day running of import and export freight movements, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently from quotation through to invoicing.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating import and export shipments
• Completing and managing customs entries
• Liaising with customers, shipping lines, hauliers and overseas agents
• Obtaining quotations and negotiating freight rates
• Preparing and checking shipping documentation
• Monitoring shipment progress and resolving issues
• Delivering excellent customer service throughout the logistics process
• Supporting the smooth running of freight forwarding operations

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience within freight forwarding or logistics
• Knowledge of UK import and export customs procedures
