Class 2 Refuse Driver | £17.00 Per Hour (Umbrella) | Sunderland Looking for a reliable driving role with a consistent routine and a genuine work-life balance? We are currently recruiting professional Class 2 Drivers to join a highly respected, award-winning local authority team in Sunderland. This is an ongoing contract for at least 4 months, with an immediate start and a desirable 4-day working week, giving you a guaranteed 3-day weekend every week. What the Role Offers Pay: £17.00 per hour (Umbrella) Hours: 37 hours per week Working Days: Tuesday to Friday Work-Life Balance: 3-day weekend every week Location: Local routes throughout Sunderland Contract: Ongoing, minimum 4 months Start: Immediate Key Responsibilities Safely operate Class 2 refuse collection vehicles on established local routes Work as part of a small, dedicated team alongside refuse loaders Complete collections efficiently, professionally and in line with health and safety requirements Carry out daily vehicle walk-around checks and report any defects Maintain a professional and reliable approach throughout each shift Requirements Valid Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence Valid CPC qualification Valid Digital Tachograph Card Reliable, punctual and team-focused approach Previous refuse collection or municipal driving experience is desirable but not essential How to Apply These positions with this local authority are highly sought after.
