Manual Turner East Sussex | Permanent, Full-Time | Competitive Salary Are you an experienced Manual Turner looking for a long-term role where your engineering skills really matter? We’re working with an established engineering business in East Sussex that is looking for a skilled Manual Turner to join its machine shop. You’ll be producing small, high-precision metal components, working to tight tolerances and taking pride in getting things right first time. What you’ll be doing * Operating manual lathes and mills * Machining small metal components to exact specifications * Reading and working from engineering drawings * Working to tight tolerances and high-quality finishes * Using measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers and bore micrometers * Carrying out basic inspection of completed components * Completing relevant production documentation * Maintaining high standards of quality and health & safety What we’re looking for You’ll ideally be a time-served Manual Turner with solid hands-on experience using manual lathes and mills. You’ll need: * Proven experience in manual turning and milling * Strong ability to read and understand engineering drawings * Experience working to high tolerances * Good knowledge of precision measuring equipment * Excellent attention to detail * A strong focus on quality and safe working practices * The ability to work both independently and as part of a team * Previous experience working within a machine shop environment would be advantageous.
