An opportunity exists for an accomplished Continuous Improvement Manager, to drive the site Lean implementation, setting, coaching and facilitating improvement activities and problem-solving initiatives to bring about quantifiable improvements across productivity, efficiency and waste. The CI Manager will take responsibility for delivering on both site and Group set projects and will further implement the continuous improvement strategy based on data driven findings and feedback. The role will focus keenly on further instilling the mindset for continuous improvement on site.
Key skills
* An experienced continuous improvement leader or manager, with a background in Manufacturing
* Manufacturing industry experience, working in a ‘fast paced’ manufacturing environment to short lead times, with a demanding customer base
* A thorough knowledge of a range of Lean manufacturing tools – OEE, SMED, TPM, 5S, 8 Wastes, Kaizen is required as is the ability to cite quantifiable and evidenced achievements utilising these tools
* A thorough knowledge of root cause problem solving tools – 5Y, 8D, Fishbone, Ishikawa, Six Sigma etc.
* Ability to train, coach and facilitate a diverse team
* Ability to thrive in a reactive and fast-moving manufacturing environment with short lead times, multiple SKUs, and changing priorities
* Project Management skills
Most importantly, we seek a results oriented, data literate, and inspiring Lean expert who will communicate well cross functionally, will challenge the norm, constantly question and show an inquisitive nature and a true growth mindset.
