About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist in ensuring that work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards
  • Assist with co‑ordinate and control the on‑site construction process ensuring the site build progresses in line with plan
  • Liaise with Statutory Authorities and Local Authorities as directed by the Site Manager in the submission of all Building Regulation cards as required to allow the progress of the project
  • Attend site meetings, effectively communicate and provide information for Progress Reports
  • Chair and minute the subcontractor meetings in the absence of the Site or Project Manager
  • Assist the Site Manager in the management of materials
  • Record keeping (diary, drawing register, H&S, COSHH Assessments, As‑built drawings, Levels & Foundations records, site H&S file)
  • Assist in ensuring that work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety requirements

Qualifications

  • Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor
  • Proven technical knowledge of Mechanical Services
  • Knowledge and skills to effectively problem‑solve
  • A keen desire to continually develop knowledge further
  • Be self‑motivated, with proven organisational ability and the drive to meet deadlines
  • Customer focused with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
  • Attention to Health and Safety matters
  • Commercially astute
  • Experience in the data centres sector desirable
  • Degree or equivalent in a Mechanical discipline desirable
