About the Role:
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support to a pupil's individual learning and emotional needs. You'll help the pupil engage in class activities, develop confidence, and progress both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one support for a pupil with additional needs.
Assist with delivering targeted interventions and differentiated activities.
Encourage engagement, independence, and positive behaviour.
Support social and emotional development throughout the school day.
Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to ensure consistent support.
Uphold safeguarding and inclusion policies at all times.
Requirements:
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Experience supporting children with additional or special educational needs.
A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
