Project Architect — G2 Architecture, Ware

G2 Architecture is an ambitious, growing architectural practice based in Ware, Hertfordshire. We work across a varied portfolio of residential, commercial and development projects, taking schemes from initial feasibility and planning through to technical design, Building Regulations and construction.

We are looking for a capable Project Architect to join our team and take ownership of projects through all stages, particularly as our workload continues to move into larger and more technically involved schemes.

You will be confident dealing directly with clients, consultants, contractors, planning authorities and Building Control, while producing and overseeing high-quality design and technical information. This is a genuine opportunity to take responsibility, help shape the practice as it grows and progress into a more senior role.

The role

• Manage projects from concept and planning through to technical delivery and construction.
• Prepare planning and Building Regulations drawing packages.
• Coordinate structural engineers, energy consultants, drainage designers, fire consultants and other specialist consultants.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, Building Control and contractors.
• Attend site meetings and assist with construction-stage queries.
• Support fee proposals, project programming and team coordination.
• Contribute to the development of our technical standards, systems and growing team.

About you

• ARB-registered Architect, ideally with 5+ years’ post-qualification experience. MCIAT is also suitable.
• Strong experience across residential projects, including planning and technical/construction stages.
• Confident producing coordinated technical packages and details.
• Comfortable managing multiple live projects and communicating clearly with clients.
• Proficient in Revit; experience working with BIM and point-cloud surveys would be beneficial.
• Practical, commercially aware and keen to take ownership of your work.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

• Salary dependent on experience, circa £40,000–£55,000.
