Job title:Health Care Assistant Hours:part time 22-24 hrs per week (flexible days and nights) Rate of pay: £12.71 - £13.20 per hour Main responsibilities To assist in the giving of direct care under the supervision of trained staff. To maintain the confidentiality of patients in our care. Maintain standards of cleanliness by keeping the patient environment clean (adhering to infection control and health & safety policies). Assist with patients hygiene needs e.g. washing/showering/bed-bathing and bathing. Assist with dressing; Mouth and eye care. Help with toileting/empty urine catheters and commodes. Give out meals and drinks to help patients eat and drink. Assist patients to mobilize (walk/stand/transfer using aids if required). Escort patients as and when required around the home as appropriate. Assist patients to be comfortable and safe. Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications Required: Previous experience working in a care home environment. Good communication, flexibility, integrity and good team working skills.
