PR Account Manager - Energy - Hampshire Location: Hampshire (hybrid, office + remote) | Type: Full-time, Permanent | Sector: Energy & B2B Industrial PR The Opportunity Are you a PR Account Manager ready to lead comms strategy for ambitious, complex B2B brands? This is a rare chance to combine strategic counsel with hands-on delivery, owning a portfolio of retained clients, shaping their media profile, and managing a small team along the way. You'll be the trusted adviser clients turn to for messaging, positioning, media relations and crisis comms, backed by an agency that specialises in complex, technical industries. What You'll Be Doing * Leading integrated PR and communications strategies for a portfolio of retained and project clients * Running press office activity: releases, statements, media pitching and follow-up * Building relationships with journalists and editors across trade and industry media * Securing high-quality coverage and proactive story placement * Writing and editing press releases, thought leadership, features and campaign content * Coordinating speaker opportunities, award entries and conference profile-building * Reporting on coverage, share of voice and campaign performance * Line managing a direct report and coordinating freelance contributors * Advising clients on reputation management and issues/crisis response What You'll Bring Essential: * 5+ years in B2B PR, communications or integrated marketing * Strong track record in a complex, technical B2B or industrial sector * Track record securing press office coverage in trade and industry media * Excellent writing and editorial judgement * Experience advising on reputation management and crisis communications * Confidence with Meltwater (or equivalent) and reporting/analytics tools * Line management or mentoring experience * Willingness to travel for client and industry events Advantageous: * Experience in energy, renewable energy or offshore sectors * Agency background managing multiple accounts * Familiarity with Mailchimp, WordPress, GA4, Looker Studio, SEMrush or similar Why Join * Annual bonus and pension scheme * Private healthcare and life insurance * Increasing holiday allowance with tenure * Sport/welfare memberships * Genuine hybrid flexibility * A close-knit, supportive team doing specialist, high-impact work in a niche sector If you want real ownership of client comms strategy, not just execution, this is the role.
