Technical Platform Manager - HPC & Digital Infrastructure

Location: Bristol / Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Salary: Up to £65,000
Hours: 35 hours per week

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced Technical Platform Manager to join an organisation operating a modern, purpose-built technology facility in Bristol.

You will take ownership of a complex technical environment covering high-performance computing (HPC), compute clusters, networking, storage and backend services, ensuring platform stability, resilience and continuous improvement.

This role combines technical leadership with hands-on infrastructure management, leading a team of three engineers while working closely with technical specialists and senior stakeholders.

We are particularly interested in candidates from commercial, engineering, technology or research environments who can bring a proactive approach to managing and improving complex infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of HPC infrastructure, compute clusters, storage environments and backend services.
Identify technical risks, improve platform resilience and address single points of failure.
