About the role
inMusic is seeking an experienced People Leader to support its Berlin office and the continued integration of Native Instruments into the inMusic group. This person will advise local and global leadership on German labor law, employee relations, Works Council matters, payroll coordination, and organizational change.The ideal candidate will be commercially minded, legally aware, operationally credible, and confident in complex stakeholder environments. They will help global leadership navigate German employment and payroll obligations while supporting business continuity and integration objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise leadership on German employment law, HR compliance, employee relations, restructures, performance management, and related people matters.Act as a primary People point of contact for Berlin Works Council interactions, including consultation, coordination, documentation, and escalation support.Partner with legal counsel and senior leadership on labor relations strategy and risk mitigation.Support accurate and compliant German payroll processing in coordination with People Operations and Finance.Coordinate with third-party payroll providers, such as ADP, to resolve payroll questions, implement changes, and support compliance requirements.Support post-acquisition integration, organizational design, workforce planning, and change-management initiatives.Coach managers on employee relations, communication, engagement, and consistent application of People policies.Collaborate with People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Legal, and business leaders across Germany, Europe, and the U.S.QualificationsStrong experience as an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Manager, Employee Relations lead, or similar People role supporting German employees.Practical knowledge of German employment and labor law, including Works Council processes and co-determination requirements.Familiarity with German payroll processing, payroll controls, and payroll-related compliance requirements.Experience working with third-party payroll providers, ideally including ADP or comparable providers.Experience advising senior stakeholders through change, transformation, integration, or restructuring initiatives.Ability to represent company interests professionally while maintaining constructive employee representative relationships.Fluent German and English communication skills, with strong judgment, discretion, and stakeholder-management capability.Preferred ExperienceExperience with German companies acquired by or integrated into U.S.-based organizations.Experience in technology, software, music technology, consumer electronics, or international creative/technical environments.Experience partnering with external employment counsel and external payroll providers on complex German employment matters.DepartmentOperationsEmployment TypeFull TimeWorkplace typeFully remote
