School Cleaner (Temporary – Schools Across Enfield & North London) Location: Enfield & North London Type: Temporary / Flexible Shifts Sector: Education Facilities & Cleaning About the Role We are currently registering School Cleaners to work on a temporary basis in schools across Enfield and surrounding areas of North London. These roles involve maintaining clean, safe, and hygienic learning environments, covering staff absences, and supporting schools during busy periods. This is not a single vacancy. We are building a pool of Temporary School Cleaners for ongoing assignments across multiple schools. What You'll Be Doing - Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, and communal areas - Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors - Cleaning toilets, washrooms, and replenishing consumables - Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately - Following health, safety, and hygiene procedures at all times - Ensuring school facilities remain clean, safe, and presentable What We're Looking For - Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential - Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently - Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness - Positive attitude and willingness to work in a school environment - Ability to carry out physical cleaning duties and remain on your feet for extended periods Requirements (Compliance) Because the work is within schools, all successful applicants must complete full safeguarding and compliance checks before being cleared for work: - Right to Work in the UK - Share code, passport, birth certificate, or equivalent documentation - Enhanced DBS Check - Applicants with a DBS on the Update Service can often be cleared more quickly - If you do not currently hold a DBS, we can assist with obtaining one (processing times typically range from 1–3+ weeks) - Professional references covering the last 2 years - Overseas Police Check - Required if you have lived outside the UK within the last 5 years - Processing times vary depending on the issuing country Important Notes - These are temporary positions - Work is offered based on school requirements and staffing needs - Registration does not guarantee immediate or ongoing work - All compliance and safeguarding checks must be completed before any placement can begin - Compliance and DBS processing can take a week or more before you are fully cleared for work - Once cleared, shifts will be offered based on school demand, location, and your availability Why Work With Us - Weekly pay - Flexible shifts to fit your schedule - Different payment options available, including: - Accruing holiday pay while you work - Receiving holiday pay upfront - Opportunities across a range of schools throughout Enfield and North London
