Company Details and Job Overview:
A new part-time Accounts Assistant role has become available within a Blackpool based SME. It is an exciting time to join the business as they enter a phase of transformation which will involve the implementation of new systems and processes.
This is a part-time role, offering approximately 25 hours per week.

Your New Role as Accounts Assistant:
Working within a friendly team of finance staff, this Accounts Assistant role will have a primary focus on payroll activity, managing all payroll processing for the business.
More varied tasks such as supporting the wider finance team with day-to-day financial operations will also form part of this role. This will include general bookkeeping, sales ledger and purchase ledger support.
Main role duties:
• Lead on all payroll activity, including the preparation, processing, maintenance, and verification of monthly and weekly payroll tasks across the business. This includes processing staff expenses and administration of the company pension scheme.
• Assisting with both accounts payable and receivable, processing purchase and sales invoices, ensuring accurate data entry, whilst matching purchase orders and dealing with client queries in line with company policy.
• Assisting with Credit Control, monitoring and managing customer accounts whilst tracking and resolving overdue debt.
• Bank reconciliations, ensuring bank and supplier statements are reconciled with accuracy.
• Ad hoc finance duties where required e.g. assisting with financial reports.
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
The ideal candidate will be proven in a similar role with solid understanding of payroll processes, up to date knowledge with the ability to manage payroll from start to finish. With capability to work independently, you will be driven and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail with focus on accuracy. Strong systems skills are also required including working knowledge of Excel.
