Environmental Planning Specialist

Your new company Hays are working in partnership with a leading environmental services organisation that supports clients across the UK and Ireland with environmental incident response, pollution management, remediation, and environmental risk services. With a multidisciplinary team of environmental specialists, the company provides end-to-end support from site investigation and assessment through to remediation and project delivery. Due to continued growth within its Environmental Claims Division, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Environmental Consultant to join the team and work on a varied portfolio of projects across Northern Ireland. Your new role As Environmental Consultant, you will manage a varied workload of site investigations and environmental remediation activities across domestic properties. You will collect and interpret field data, prepare clear technical reports, scope remedial works and coordinate the people, plant and materials required for delivery. Carry out on-site surveys of domestic properties, including vapour, soil and groundwater sampling. * Compile and interpret field and analytical data. * Supervise staff and subcontractors carrying out works on domestic properties. * Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholder What you'll need to succeed At least two years' experience in environmental services or consultancy, or a comparable level of transferable experience from a related sector such as building, construction or geotechnical work. * A relevant Degree or HND in Environmental Science, Geology, Construction, Building or Building Surveying, or Engineering is preferred but not essential. * A full, clean UK driving licence. * Competence in MS software,CAD or similar software would be beneficial.
