Machine Shop Inspector 📍 Ecclesfield, Sheffield 💷 Up to £19.00 per hour / ⏰ 38 hours per week 📅 Monday to Thursday – 4 x 9.5-hour shifts 💰 Overtime available The Opportunity We are recruiting for an experienced Machine Shop Inspector to join a well-established heavy engineering company based in Ecclesfield, Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled inspector with Faro Arm and CMM experience to work on large, fully machined castings, fabrications and forgings. You will benefit from a four-day working week, competitive hourly pay and regular overtime opportunities. 🔧 The Role You will be responsible for carrying out dimensional inspections on large, complex machined components, ensuring all work meets engineering drawings, tolerances and customer quality standards. Key duties will include: * Inspecting fully machined castings, fabrications and forgings * Operating Faro Arm and CMM inspection equipment * Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings * Completing dimensional checks against specified tolerances * Using verniers, inside micrometers and outside micrometers * Identifying and reporting dimensional or quality issues * Accurately recording inspection results and documentation ✅ Essential Experience * Previous machine shop inspection experience * Hands-on Faro Arm experience * Hands-on CMM experience * Experience inspecting large machined components * Ability to read and understand engineering drawings * Confident using precision measuring equipment * Strong understanding of tolerances and dimensional inspection * Excellent attention to detail 🎁 What’s on Offer * Up to £19.00 per hour, depending on experience * Annual earnings up to approximately £37,544 before overtime * Four-day working week * Three-day weekend every week * Overtime available * Long-term opportunity within a heavy engineering environment 📞 To apply or discuss the role, contact Major Tom on (phone number removed).
