English Teacher
A large secondary school based in Hillingdon are looking for an English Teacher.
School are looking for someone to start in September on either a long-term contract or permanent basis.
This position is full time, although part time applicants will also be considered. Working hours are from 8:30am to 3:30pm.
Salary will match Outer London MPS/UPS.
School has available parking spaces.
English Teacher - Hillingdon, London
* Deliver engaging and challenging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitable candidates.
* Inspire students to develop their reading, writing, speaking and analytical skills through creative and stimulating lessons.
* Support students of all abilities, helping them achieve strong academic outcomes and develop a lifelong appreciation for English literature and language.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted intervention to maximise achievement.
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students are encouraged to think critically, communicate effectively and achieve their full potential.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues within the English department to develop curriculum resources and share best practice.
* Uphold the values and ethos of the school, promoting high expectations, respect and a commitment to excellence.

Qualifications and Person Specification:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* A relevant English degree or related qualification
* Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents
* Approachable, enthusiastic and committed to raising attainment
