Are you an innovative electronics engineer who thrives on solving complex, real-world challenges?
Do you enjoy working across the full product lifecycle, from concept through to prototype and delivery?
Do you possess strong foundations in electronics covering a mixture of skillsets?
We’re supporting our client, working at the forefront of defence and homeland security innovation, as they look for a rounded electronics engineer to join the team. This is an opportunity to work on highly varied, technically challenging projects, developing breakthrough solutions that have real-world impact.

Projects are typically fast-paced and varied, ranging from early-stage concept work through to fully functioning prototypes.
You’ll collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, and designers to explore new ideas and rapidly turn them into tangible solutions. Your work may involve hardware design, signal processing, embedded systems, or communications technologies, depending on your area of expertise.
This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple domains, contributing to system architecture, hardware integration, and overall solution development, while maintaining a hands-on approach to engineering and experimentation.
They're looking for multiple (but not necessarily all) of:
Experience in electronics design and development within a complex engineering environment.
Knowledge and hands-on experience in several of the following areas:
FPGA development, debugging, and testing
DSP design, modelling, and signal processing
High-speed electronics design
RF or microwave electronics design and simulation
Hardware design, schematic capture, and validation
Embedded software development and debugging
Programming experience in languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, MATLAB, or Simulink
Communications systems and networking, including protocol design or implementation
Experience working collaboratively on system architecture and hardware integration
A strong academic background with a relevant degree and a track record of technical excellence.
Experience in defence or security environments is beneficial but not essential.
Please note that due to the nature of the work, eligibility for security clearance (SC level or above) is essential. Sponsorship is not available for this role
