Location: Worcester | Full-time, all year round
Salary: Up to £43,000
Working Pattern: 37 hours per week
Our client, a leading education organisation, is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and flexible Senior HR Officer to deliver a comprehensive, proactive and confidential HR service.
This is a broad and engaging role, providing expert HR advice and guidance to managers and staff while supporting effective people management, employee relations and organisational development.
What you'll do
Provide professional, confidential HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
Take a lead role in supporting employee relations matters, from initial concerns through to resolution.
Advise managers on formal absence, capability and conduct processes.
Undertake low-level workplace investigations and support effective outcomes.
Ensure HR practices remain compliant with employment legislation, safeguarding requirements, organisational policies and best practice.
Support workforce planning, attendance management and recruitment activity.
Provide guidance to managers to ensure fair, consistent and effective people decisions.
Support safeguarding compliance across HR processes.
Contribute to organisational development and wider people initiatives.
Work closely with senior leaders and managers to identify and address people-related challenges. What we're looking for
Proven experience working in a HR Officer, Senior HR Officer or similar generalist HR role.
Strong knowledge of employee relations, including absence, capability and conduct processes.
Good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
Experience supporting and advising managers on complex or sensitive people matters.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to provide constructive challenge where appropriate.
A high level of integrity and discretion when dealing with confidential information.
Experience within an education, public sector or similarly regulated environment would be advantageous. The ideal candidate will be professional, approachable and solutions-focused, with the confidence to work independently while building strong relationships with managers, staff and senior stakeholders.
