Early Years Educator - Primary School (Ages 0-3) | Islington, North London

We are excited to be partnering with a friendly Children's Centre within a primary school in Islington, looking to appoint a dedicated Early Years Educator. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team and deliver high-quality early education within a nurturing and inclusive setting.

The centre is committed to providing a safe, stimulating environment where children's wellbeing and development come first. Staff are encouraged to bring creativity and energy into their practice, supporting children through engaging, play-based learning experiences.

Role Overview

Position: Early Years EducatorStart Date: ASAPLocation: Islington, North LondonPay: £16.42 - £17.05 per hour (PAYE)Hours: 08:30am - 4:30pmContract: Full-time, 5 days per week

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will support children's learning and development during their early years, including:

  • Planning and delivering creative, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS
  • Supporting children's social, emotional, and developmental needs through play
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Observing and assessing progress to inform next steps
  • Promoting positive behaviour and supporting overall wellbeing
  • Working closely with colleagues to maintain high standards of practice
  • Building strong relationships with parents and carers
  • Following safeguarding procedures at all times

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold a CACHE Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years

  • Have a solid understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Hold a valid Paediatric First Aid (PFA) certificate (essential)
  • Be nurturing, proactive, and passionate about early years education
  • Work well within a team and contribute positively to the setting
  • Be confident supporting children through play-based learning
