Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Mechanical Maintenance Fitter/Engineer Double Days (6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm) A well-established manufacturing business is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer / Fitter to join its on-site engineering team. This is a great opportunity to join a stable company operating within a busy production environment. The Role You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment, reducing downtime, and supporting the smooth running of production operations. Key Responsibilities Attend machinery breakdowns and carry out repairs Complete planned preventative maintenance tasks Fault find on mechanical systems and production equipment Repair and refurbish components when required Support improvement projects and equipment upgrades Maintain accurate maintenance records Assist with production changeovers and machine set-up Ensure health & safety standards are followed at all times Requirements Mechanical engineering qualification or time-served apprenticeship Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing or industrial environments Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Experience working with motors, gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulics or pneumatics Welding or fabrication skills beneficial Basic electrical knowledge advantageous Benefits Competitive salary up to £43,000 Bonus scheme Overtime available Pension Holiday allowance Training and progression opportunities Additional company benefits
