Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in welding and fabrication to contribute to our projects using their expertise in various welding techniques and hand tools.
Hours
08:00-17:00 Monday to Thursday, 08:00-13:00 Friday
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on a variety of metal components, including sheet metal and fabricated parts, adhering to technical specifications and safety standards.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively during fabrication and assembly processes.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine weld locations and specifications.
- Assist in the assembly of welded components, ensuring proper fit and finish.
- Conduct quality checks on completed welds to ensure they meet industry standards and project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Requirements
- Proven experience in MIG welding.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment used in metalworking.
- Mechanical knowledge related to assembly processes and material handling.
- Ability to work accurately with basic maths for measurements and calculations during fabrication.
- Experience working with sheet metal, structural steel, or similar materials is preferred.
- Good understanding of safety procedures related to welding and fabrication environments.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or schematics effectively.
