Salary: £28,056 - £34,492 per annumLocation: Northampton Immediate / Upcoming Start Available
A College in Northampton is currently seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Lecturer in Food & Drink (Bakery) to join the Business, Hospitality & Professional Training faculty.
This is an exciting opportunity for an industry professional or experienced lecturer who is passionate about bakery, food production, and developing the next generation of learners within Further Education.
About the Role:The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching and training across a range of Food & Drink (Bakery) programmes, supporting both full-time and part-time learners. You will play a key role in course delivery, student support, curriculum development, and practical demonstrations while helping students achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive teaching across Food & Drink (Bakery) courses
- Support, tutor, and monitor student progress and achievement
- Carry out course administration and maintain accurate records
- Participate in curriculum development to meet industry demands
- Support practical demonstrations and workshop-based learning
- Participate in recruitment events, open days, and industry engagement activities
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and quality standards
- Contribute positively to the College's learner-focused culture and values
What We Are Looking For:
- Level 3 qualification in Food & Drink, Bakery, or a related subject
- Relevant industry knowledge and understanding of manufacturing techniques
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire learners
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above or equivalent)
- Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification if not already held
- Experience within the food industry and/or Further Education environment is desirable
- Strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion
