Operations Manager 📍 Kent (Head Office Based) 💰 £60,000–£70,000 DOE + Package About the Role We’re working with a well-established roofing and building services contractor with over 25 years of industry experience to recruit an Operations Manager with roofing experience. This is a hands-on role overseeing day-to-day operations within the roofing division, alongside responsibility for estimating and commercial input across projects. The Role * Office-based (5 days per week) with occasional site visits * Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00 (flexibility where workload allows) * Active within a busy roofing division delivering UK-wide projects What You’ll Be Doing * Managing day-to-day roofing operations * Producing estimates, quotations and cost plans * Reviewing drawings, specs and tender documents * Managing projects from enquiry through to completion * Coordinating labour, materials and subcontractors * Acting as key technical and operational contact * Conducting site visits as required * Supporting wider admin and operational functions * Driving commercial control and profitability * Ensuring compliance and strong H&S standards What We’re Looking For * Strong roofing industry background (essential) * Proven estimating experience in roofing (essential) * Experience in operations, contracts or project delivery * Strong commercial awareness and job costing understanding * Confident managing a fast-paced workload * Strong communication and organisational skills * Hands-on, practical and results-driven approach Benefits * Company vehicle * Monday–Friday working pattern * Performance-related incentives * Long-term opportunity in a growing business Why Apply? * Take ownership of a key operational role * Join a 25+ year established, stable contractor * Strong autonomy and ability to shape the role * Genuine long-term progression opportunity Interested?
